Our Story
Prior to forming Saint Kairos in 2023, the Founder focused his corporate career in architecture and real estate development. Through his 19 years of educational and professional experience, he was able to see both sides of the spectrum and eventually realized several major problems in the building industry and began to grow frustrated.
- Lack of sensitivity and action on critical global issues.
- Missed opportunities for collaborations between local Architecture schools and Communities, Cities and Developers. Architecture schools generate innovative, creative and forward-thinking ideas but a majority of which will never see further explored or implemented.
- Growing disconnect between the creative design side and the rigid development side. Innovative technologies are rarely implemented or value engineered out.
In 2022 the Founder began an unanticipated inner journey of self-reflection. The culmination of his inner journey led to his realization of how to bridge the gap in order to address global issues and benefit communities. For him, the underlying principals behind Saint Kairos had been accumulating for decades prior through his passions, educational and professional experience. This is when the vision of Saint Kairos was born.
The Vision
Saint Kairos aims to redefine the Development process through its innovative multidisciplinary and holistic approach. The cross discipline approach fosters integration and collaboration across many areas such as Real Estate Development, Hospitality, Community & Education, Technology, Innovation, Design, Environment & Sustainability.
The long term vision of Saint Kairos is to create a new holistic model for Development that can be utilized throughout the globe in order to finally address critical global issues. The immediate vision is to strategically implement this new model in Puerto Rico.
Saint Kairos consists of four distinct but interwoven areas of focus: Development, Hospitality, Innovation, and Community.
Global Issues
While there are numerous global issues that are all important, where Saint Kairos’s background, experience and holistic model can contribute the most is in the areas of Ecological crisis, Housing crisis and Mental Health crisis. These issues can ultimately be grouped into ‘Planet Earth’ and ‘Humanity’. Regardless of one’s faith or beliefs, we can all agree on how precious life and our very existence is. Without a healthy planet earth, life cannot be sustained and will ultimately vanish. Without decent housing and good mental health, humanity cannot flourish to its fullest extent of what it means to truly experience life. Currently we face a tipping point if these major global issues aren’t addressed imminently.
